How does this site verify vulnerability scanner pricing?
Per-row pricing is verified against the vendor's own product page on the date stamped per row. Quote-only vendors carry partner-reported ranges drawn from named analyst sources, never inferred rates. Re-verification cadence: per-vendor pages monthly, the pricing cheatsheet quarterly, and KEV / NVD counters weekly. Named author: Oliver Wakefield-Smith, Digital Signet.
The four rules
- 01 Every numeric claim is sourced to a primary source URL (vendor pricing page, CISA KEV JSON, NIST NVD, PCI SSC list, FedRAMP Marketplace).
- 02 Quote-only vendors get a partner-reported range with a named secondary source. Never an inferred per-asset rate.
- 03 Where data isn't published, the page says so explicitly. No filler numbers.
- 04 Re-verification cadence is published per row. Per-vendor pages monthly; pricing cheatsheet quarterly; KEV / NVD counters weekly.
